Parametric amplifier for W-band frequency range*

Till date parametric amplifier development has been focused towards 0.5 - 20 GHz frequency band utilizing kinetic inductance of superconducting thin film or non-linearity of Josephson junction elements. Recently various proposal for parametric amplifier [1] and qubits [2] has been proposed for mm-wave frequency range utlizing high kinetic inductance superconducting material. These mm-wave parameteric devices are relevant for microwave-to-optical transducer development [3], improving the sensitivity of astronomical detectors [4]. We present our effort on developing parametric amplifier for mm-wave frequency using superconducting circuits.
