Since most of the stack’s core functionality is digital supported by telecom sector-led advances in D/A converter and digital signal processing technologies - to the exception of front-end analog electronics - highly parametric IP can be designed to support a wider range of qubit types and applications.
We describe the core architecture of a control system which, combined with the use of FPGAs, allows to easily re-configure the system to suit a particular QPU architecture. We further demonstrate how our IP for time-deterministic instructions sequencing and signal generation provides enough flexibility to perform advanced quantum computing experiments. Finally we describe our approach to compilation aiming to abstract away the complexity of programming a highly distributed system.
