it has been well documented that wrinkle appears "as a result of Poisson ratio".
The clamping condition indeed prevents the Poisson retraction, but this should generate more tensile stresses (no compression)...
Our objective is to provide an intuitive explanation of this phenomenon.
We find that this problem is analogous to recirculation vortices found in viscous flow in cavities.
