Here we introduce self-wrinkling large band gap (7.5 eV) insulating 2D mineral nanosheets [1] that allows for control wrinkling of any type of 2D layer deposited on top of them. As these mineral nanosheets are dispersible in water, the present protocol will enable scale-up just by self-assembly on a substrate, such as deposition on a substrate by dipping, drop casting, spraying, etc.
