All praise to Allah the most grcious compassionate and ever merciful, who gave me insight to observe think and analyse.
Education plays a pivotal role in the socio-economic development of a nation. Access to education is a fundamental right and a developmental necessity. It is obvious that education is equally necessary for women as much as for men. In the context of Swat, education was always valued by its inhabitants that is why literacy rate remained higher in the said area in the state arena and in the post state arena than in the neighboring districs. The ruler of Swat state had given special attention to education sector and encouraged women education. He had spread the web of schools and colleges all accross his administrative terrotory. Since after the annexation with Pakistan, the number of schools and colleges has increased trenedously. Also the people of Swat have always welcomed modern changes and developments.
Mingora city and adjacent areas were selected for conducting the study as the researcher found it convenient to collect data in the said area. Data was mostly collected from from fifteen respondents, Five each from university, colleges and secondary schools.
it was found in the study that there are several factors responsible for preventinting women to go into Science education particularly in Physics. Some of these are socio-economic, socio-culture and religious constraints.
