The bright and dark exciton coherent coupling enabled by the external magnetic fields.

Magnetic field and polarization-dependent measurements on monolayer WSe2 were performed using time-integrated four-wave mixing spectroscopy. Magnetic fields up to 25T were applied parallel to the monolayer plane, and the partial brightening of the dark excitonic state was observed as an increase in dephasing time. The polarization-dependent study shows the coherent quantum beating between the states when higher magnetic fields were applied. The results were then modeled using time-dependent density functional theory.
