M80.00001: Publishing Physics Open Science with Wiley Ying Jia, Alberto Pepe, Stefan Hildebrandt, Gaia Tomasello Open science and open access (OA) have become main drivers for the current transformation of the scientific publication process. Wiley is leading this transition with a broad range of initiatives: Alberto Pepe will present the innovative platform Authorea (www.authorea.com) for collaborative writing, preprint and interactive data publishing with the application example of smart Supporting Information at the OA journal Advanced Intelligent Systems. Stefan Hildebrandt will detail the present status of Wiley's gold and green OA policies and corresponding agreements with institutions, countries or funders in the US as well as around the world (bit.ly/3DZiqbd). This includes recent new transformational deals with, e.g., Carnegie Mellon University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology or the US Department of Energy. An overview about the journal portfolio and publication opportunities in physics will be provided by Gaia Tomasello, emphasizing both hybrid and pure OA models, from established journals such as Advanced Science or Annalen der Physik to newer titles, among them Advanced Quantum Technologies and the Advanced 'X' Research journals suite. |
