1J.00001: DBIO Short Course: Advanced Microscopy Physics, and physicists, have enabled new views of biological systems for centuries. Recent advances on several fronts have broken the “diffraction limit,” producing nanometer-resolution images of living samples. In this short course, we will go through the physics behind recent developments in super-resolution microscopy. The course will also have a hands-on component where students will get to build their own microscope from 3D printed parts. |
