Development of electronics for 4D trackers*

Various detector technologies have been proposed to build 4D trackers for future high energy physics experiments. These detectors, by integrating precise timing and spatial measurements (thus 4D), can not only help event reconstruction in a high pile-up or beam-induced background environment, but also provide unique capabilities in e.g. new physics searches and particle identification. An important consideration for such 4D trackers is to develop readout electronics that can provide additional timing information than those of traditional 3D trackers, while coping with the requirements of high granularity, high radiation tolerance, low noise, and low power. In this talk, the current status and future prospect of electronics development for 4D trackers will be presented.
