The EPIC detector requires advanced technologies such as LGAD, which have been extensively developed in high-energy physics, primarily at KEK in Japan. Collaboration with the high-energy physics community is crucial in terms of sharing knowledge and technologies but also in terms of human resources and so on. A cooperative framework between nuclear physics and high-energy physics is highly demanded. The U.S.-Japan Science and Technology cooperation program in High Energy Physics may play a vital role in facilitating this collaboration. During this talk, the overview of the activities conducted by EIC-Japan, with a particular focus on the efforts to establish a cooperative framework between the nuclear physics and high-energy physics communities, will be provided with the current status and prospects.
