Compared to single-hadron production, the additional degree of freedom in the final state can allow for better selectivity in the extraction of PDFs or fracture functions. It also makes additional fragmentation functions possible, which do not exist in single hadron production, such as helicity dependent fragmentation into pions.
Here we present the status of di-hadron correlation analysis with first data taken with the CLAS12 detector at the upgraded CEBAF 12 GeV at Jefferson Lab. The data were taken with an unpolarized hydrogen target and a polarized beam. The large sample to be collected together with the good acceptance make this setup particular well suited for di-hadron probes.
