The hard scattered partons are propagating through the medium and lose their energy, known as the jet-quenching.
The path length dependency of the parton energy loss can provide deeper understanding of the energy loss mechanism.
This can be studied through the Event Shape Engineering (ESE), which has been proposed to control the initial geometry of the heavy ion collisions by selecting the magnitude of the flow vector in the same multiplicity class.
Measurement of event-plane dependent di-hadron correlations with centrality selection and ESE provides a more powerful tool to study the jet-medium interplay.
Here, we present di-hadron correlations in Au+Au collisions at √sNN=200 GeV as a function of both the azimuthal angle of the trigger particle with respect to the event plane and ESE selections.
The result of this analysis will provide new insights on the geometry dependence of jet-medium interactions as well as the effect of collective medium expansion on jet modification.
