Abstract: CB.00010 : Low-Energy Gamow-Teller Transitions in deformed N=Z odd-odd Nuclei

It was found that these nuclei have structure with a prolately deformed core and a two nucleon pair.
In the GT transitions from 10Be(J^π_n;T = 0^+_1;1), the strengths are concentrated into 10B(1^+_1;0) because the nn pair in 10Be(0^+_1;1) and the T = 0 pn pair in 10B(1^+_1;0) form spatially localized cluster states away from the core nuclei.
On the other hand, in the transitions from 22Ne(0^+_1;1), we have found that the GT strengths are fragmented into two 1^+_0 states; 22Na(1^+_{1,2};0).
The fragments can be understood by transitions into different K-bands; the K = 0 band consisting of the 1^+_1;0, 3^+_2;0, 5^+_2;0, and the K = 1 band of the 1^+_2;0, 2^+_1;0.
Each band head contains spin-anti-aligned proton-neutron(pn) pair(Sz = 0) in K = 0 and spin-aligned pair(Sz = 1) in K = 1.
The key point on the fragmentation in 22Ne->22Na is the SU(4) symmetry breaking in the pn pair from the S = 1 state into the (S=1,Sz) state.
We artifficially changed the spin-orbit interaction strength and we found that the fragmentation is an universal phenomenon caused by SU(4) symmetry breaking in the pn pair around a prolately deformed core both in 10B and in 22Na.
