T02.00001: PICUP Workshop Computing is a central tool for doing physics, and it has become increasingly present in our classrooms. The Partnership for the Integration of Computation into Undergraduate Physics (PICUP) is an organization devoted to supporting physics teachers at all levels who want to integrate computing into their physics classes. In this workshop, we will introduce you to the PICUP organization, the resources that it provides, and the community that supports it. We will work with Spreadsheets and Glowscript to illustrate how computing might be used in your classes. And we will answer questions about different approaches and techniques for integrating computing into your courses. Please bring your own Internet connected device (laptop or tablet) for full participation. |
