While the Doppler effect was well known for century, many different formulas are required to fit different scenarios and none works for the scenario including time-varied velocity, which indicates that we might not fully understand its nature yet. This mathematically derived general formula clearly explains the nature of Doppler effect and hence, applies to all scenarios including the time-varied velocity case. Traditionally, the Cosmological red-shift was regarded as a different phenomenon from the Doppler effect. By mathematically deriving the Cosmological red-shift equation from this exactly same general formula in Asymmetry theory, we show that they are the same in nature. Furthermore, this formula also provides the mathematical explanation of Cherenkov radiation. For example, the emission angle of Cherenkov radiation is now a straightforward mathematical derivation from this general formula instead of ad-hoc explanation.
In summary, Asymmetry Theory provides a single-unified and mathematically-derived formula for the Doppler Effect, Red-shift and Cherenkov radiation, which explains their fundamental nature.
