Abstract: UO04.00015 : Heliospheric Magnetic Fields Generated by Solar Proton/Electron Jets*

(0) Rather, the data characterize the statistical fluctuations expected from pervasive, persistent proton /electron Jets driven electrically from the Solar plasma sheath. The new model of "electric lightning jets" is described in a separate talk, as is the new "virial limit" for the total charge, which gives quantitative correspondence with the observed Fast Wind proton speed of 800.km/s. [a] Here, three characteristics of the fluctuating heliospheric magnetic fields are deduced from the data:
(1) Low-frequency ("DC") spectra scale to zero as the mean of +/- random contributions; and high-frequecy scale spectra scale as f -1 from small-scale particle clumpiness.
(2) Intermediate frequencies ( 101 < f < 103 μHz ) reflect weak dynamical effects, observed as 130,000 hour-long "dynamical arcs" detected in 20 years of ACE data, These appear to be similar to the "switchbacks" recently detected in SPP data.
(3) The dominant "correlation" between Br(t) and Bθ(t) appears at fRot with 1% to 30% (average 12%) of the B2 fluctuation "energy", caused by rotation-scale variation in the Solar proton/electron emission.
