Flux Array Magnetic B-dot Probe for TREX Drive Cylinder*

The Terrestrial Reconnection EXperiment (TREX) [1] at Wisconsin Plasma Physics Laboratory (WiPPL) [2]. This experiment has a cylindrical induced magnetic field (TREX Drive Cylinder) and runs plasma to the collisionless kinetic regime. For measuring magnetic field in all space in the TREX Drive Cylinder, we built a B-dot Probe system called the Flux Array. The Flux Array has a stainless-steel manifold which leads to 8 alumina ceramic tubes which are perpendicular to the z-axis. Each tube has 16 B-dot probe loops: 12 measure z-direction along the drive cylinder, 2 measure the phi-direction, and 2 measure the r-direction. This new probe system will help doing the experiment more efficiently. We will measure magnetic field in different radial positions in one single experiment.
