JT02.00001: Ultrafast time-resolved x-ray spectroscopy for the study of high energy density plasmas* Invited Speaker: Ronnie L Shepherd The advent of ultrashort pulse lasers has led to a revolution in the ability to produce high energy-density (HED) matter . Furthermore, advanced target design has enabled the creation of hot, near-solid density HED matter with minimal spatial gradients. This has provided a platform to experimentally investigate fundamental physics, and particularly plasma physics, with an increased level of detail and accuracy that was previously impossible. |
