COHERENT
first measurements of Coherent Elastic Neutrino Nucleus Scattering (CEνNS)
on CsI and Liquid Ar targets, is progressing in its multi-target approach with
the deployment of arrays of High-Purity Germanium (HPGe) and Sodium Io-
dide Detectors. P-Type Point Contact (PPC) Ge detectors offer the low noise
and excellent energy resolution required to make precision measurements of the
(CEνNS) recoil spectrum, and Germanium offers an intermediate nuclear mass
necessary for mapping out the predicted N 2 proportionality of the CEνNS cross
section when combined with CsI and Ar measurements. This talk will discuss
the COHERENT Collaborations progress towards the deployment of an 18 kg
array of low-noise, low-threshold, and low-background HPGe detectors at Oak
Ridge National Laboratory’s Spallation Neutron Source (SNS), including the
design of the detector array, detector characterization, and deployment status
at the SNS.
