The $^{17}F(\alpha,p)^{20}Ne$ reaction has been identified by sensitivity studies as an important breakout reaction of the hot CNO cycle. It was found to have a primary affect on the burst light curve and on the relative abundance of the isotope $^{44}Ti$. There is a dearth of reaction data for this particular reaction and significant uncertainties exist. An experiment was performed using the RESOLUT radioactive beam facility at Florida State University to study the reaction. A $^{17}F$ beam was used in conjunction with the ANASEN active target detector. Results from the experiment and astrophysical implications thereof will be discussed.
