J/ψ production near-threshold enables us to study the origin of the proton mass, the nature of the LHCb hidden-charm pentaquarks, the proton's gluonic radius, and the color Van der Waals Force. I will focus on the latest results from GlueX and the Hall C J/ψ-007 experiment and future opportunities with SoLID.
Jefferson Lab has a comprehensive program to study the spin structure of the nucleon. Here I will discuss the first results on the inclusive spin structure on the neutron from the Hall C A1n experiment and the latest developments on the 3D structure of the proton and neutron from CLAS12. Finally, I will discuss the possibilities to study nucleon spin with the SoLID experiment.
