This study introduces a user-friendly approach using an optically tracked 5-hole probe for real-time 3D flow data collection. Utilizing a feedback loop control, the operator scans the area with the probe to measure the real-time flow field, enabling precise control over each fan and ultimately generating the desired flow profile in the test area. Tests show significant time and effort reduction for flow profile generation. The method swiftly delivers precise flow profiles with intuitive ease and minimal setup time. Additionally, the user-friendly hardware and software enable even those with only basic knowledge of experimental aerodynamics to achieve rapid and accurate results.
Overall, these findings suggest that this innovative method provides an effective solution for generating and controlling complex aerodynamic flows, opening up potential applications in a range of industries including aerospace, automotive engineering, and wind energy.
