Time-Multiplexed Three-Axis Acceleration Sensing Using High Data Rate Cold Atom Generation*

Cold atom interferometry enables precise measurements of acceleration, angular velocity, gravity, and gravity gradient under stationary conditions. By utilizing high data rate atom interferometry, we enhance the robustness of the sensor head for operation in harsh environments and facilitate small-form-factor multi-axis acceleration sensing through a single sensor head and laser system in a time- multiplexed configuration. In this study, we demonstrate the generation of high data rate sub-Doppler cooled atoms (10 uK, 450 Hz) using six diverging beams. Furthermore, we present our progress on time-multiplexed three-axis acceleration sensing (greater than 60 Hz total), focusing on sensor performance as the data rate varies.
