Single-Site Resolved Microscopy in a Hybrid Optical Lattice-Tweezer System*

Recent advances in optical lattices and tweezers have led to significant breakthroughs in quantum simulations and computing. In this poster, we present a novel hybrid optical lattice-tweezer system for ytterbium quantum gases, and report our recent experimental progress on high-resolution microscopy. The combination of optical lattice and optical tweezer are benefited from both the large scalability of optical lattices and the flexible manipulation of optical tweezers. We develop a site-resolved in-situ imaging technique for optical lattices, using a high numerical aperture objective and effective sideband cooling. We further extend this approach to enable single-site control and the creation of defect-free atom arrays using optical tweezers. Our work paves the way for microscopically probing and manipulating large-scale, reconfigurable atom arrays with high precision.
