Quantum-Enhanced Sensing with Sodium Spinor Bose-Einstein Condensates*

We present our progress on interferometry with entangled atoms in our Na spinor Bose-Einstein condensate, useful for quantum-enhanced sensing. In our experiments, pairs of entangled atoms with magnetic quantum numbers m_F =+1 and m_F =-1 are generated from pairs of m_F = 0 atoms via spin-exchange collisions. The collisions can be controlled via microwave dressing. We present our data on interferometry in spin space, where the spin states are overlapping in the trap, using seeded initial states. We also present our progress on implementing a light-pulse atom interferometer, where the entangled clouds will be spatially separated and recombined, useful for inertial sensing.
