W01.00001: Mentoring Workshop: Building Confidence and Fostering Independence (Mentors) Midhat Farooq Faculty mentors attending the NMC Conference are encouraged to participate in a workshop on building confidence and fostering independence in mentees. The workshop will feature interactive discussions based on mentoring research and case studies. Facilitator will create a space where faculty can come together to discuss common opportunities and challenges that can occur in mentoring relationships. Research-based materials will offer tips and strategies, and the interactive format will also draw on the knowledge and experience of participants. Topics include strategies for building mentee confidence in their abilities and for supporting and encouraging independence. [Preview Abstract] |
