J01.00001: Dark Matter in the Disordered Cosmos Invited Speaker: Chanda Prescod-Weinstein In this talk, I will provide an overview of one of the biggest problems that physics faces today: what is the dark matter? The first thing I will explain is that it's not actually dark! I will explain why I feel compelled to work on one proposed solution, a hypothetical particle called the axion, and along the way, I will provide some insights into my personal journey into the invisible world of the so-called dark matter.
