In order to construct accurate gravitational waves models for binaries,
numerical relativity simulations with a wide range of physical parameters
are required. One important parameter is the spin orientation of both
objects in the binary system. In our research we focus on the effects of
precession on the gravitational waves. We construct initial data using the
Elliptica code for a black hole - neutron star binary system with spin
orientations that result in precession. We then study the inspiral of the
binary using the BAM code. In this talk, we explain the initial data
construction within Elliptica. We then present some preliminary results of
the evolution, such as gravitational waves, trajectories and constraints for
a precessing black hole - neutron star binary system.
