J6.00001: Building and Using A National Digital Library for Computational Physics Education Invited Speaker: Wolfgang Christian Over the past dozen years we have produced some of the world's most widely used interactive computer-based curricular materials for the teaching of physics and this work has recently a SPORE Prize (Science Prize for Online Resources in Education) in Science. The materials we have developed are hosted on and distributed from the Open Source Physics (OSP) Collection of the ComPADRE National Science Digital Library. This presentation describes the interactive pedagogy that motivated the development of this learning platform. Examples from high school AP through university-level advanced topics will be presented. J6.00002: The Advanced Labs Website: resources for upper-level laboratories Invited Speaker: Ramon Torres-Isea The Advanced Labs web resource collection is an effort to create a central, comprehensive information base for college/university faculty who teach upper-level undergraduate laboratories. The website is produced by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT). It is a part of ComPADRE, the online collection of resources in physics and astronomy education, which itself is a part of the National Science Foundation-funded National Science Digital Library (NSDL). After a brief review of its history, we will discuss the current status of the website while describing the various types of resources available at the site and presenting examples of each. We will detail a step-by-step procedure for submitting resources to the website. The resource collection is designed to be a community effort and thus welcomes input and contributions from its users. We will also present plans, and will seek audience feedback, for additional website services and features. The constraints, roadblocks, and rewards of this project will also be addressed. J6.00003: The Physic Source, a ComPADRE digital library, focusing on resources for teaching introductory physics Invited Speaker: Taha Mzoughi The Physics Source (http://www.physicssource.org/), a component of~ComPADRE, was designed to help faculty teaching introductory physics courses identify and use high quality relevant curriculum and pedagogical resources in their teaching. Faculty can use to Physics Source to find, share, and collaborate on building high-quality, effective teaching and learning materials. Users can also organize the content they like, and submit their own resources for inclusion in the library. Among the content included in the library are simulations, lab activities, classroom demonstrations, videos, information on some teaching techniques, and physics education research articles.
