J13.00001: An updated search for lepton flavor violating decays $\tau\to lll$ at BaBar Jeff Kolb Recent results are presented on the search for non-conservation of lepton flavor in the decay of the tau lepton to three lighter leptons. The analysis is performed using $e^+e^- \to \tau^+\tau^-$ events collected between 1999 and 2006 at a center-of-mass energy near 10.58~GeV with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II storage rings at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. J13.00002: Study of the decay $B^\pm\to K_S^0 \pi^\pm\pi^0$ at Babar Paolo Franchini The charmless 3-body decay $B^\pm\to K_S^0 \pi^\pm\pi^0$ is studied by using a sample of approximately 350 million $B$-meson pairs recorded at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II $B$ Factory at SLAC. A Dalitz plot analysis is used to infer the amplitudes and phases in decays involving intermediate resonances as well as non-resonant decays. [Preview Abstract] |

J13.00003: Measurement of $B\to D^0 K^*$ decays with $D^0\to CP$ eigenstates Quincy Kwan-Sut Wong We use 384 million $\Upsilon(4S)\to B\bar{B}$ events collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II $B$ Factory to study the decay $B^-\to D^0 K^{*-}$ where the $K^{*-}\to K_S^0 \pi^-$ and the $D^0$ decays into $CP$-eigenstates. In particular, we reconstruct the $CP=+1$ final states into $K^+K^-$ and $\pi^+\pi^-$ and the $CP=-1$ final states into $K_S^0\pi^0$, $K_S^0\phi$, and $K_S^0\omega$. We also include the non-$CP$ mode $D^0\to K^-\pi^+$ in our study. [Preview Abstract] |

J13.00005: A search for the decays $B^0\to l^+\tau^-$ ($l = e,\mu$) using hadronic tag reconstruction Miika Klemetti We present a search for the FCNC (and lepton-flavor-violating) decay modes $B^0\to\mu^+\tau^-$ and $B^0\to e^+\tau^-$ with data collected by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II storage ring at SLAC. This search utilizes a technique in which we fully reconstruct the accompanying $\bar{B}^0$ in $\Upsilon(4S)\to B^0\bar{B}^0$ events, and look for a monoenergetic lepton in the $B^0$ frame. The $\tau^-$ is identified by the decay modes $\tau^-\to e^-\nu\bar{\nu}$, $\tau^-\to\mu^-\nu\bar{\nu}$, $\tau^-\to\pi^-\nu$, $\tau^-\to\pi^-\pi^0\nu$, $\tau^-\to\pi^-\pi^0\pi^0\nu$ and $\tau^-\to\pi^-\pi^-\pi^+\nu$. The signal candidates are extracted using a ``cut and count'' method taking advantage of the kinematic variables in the $\tau^-$ rest frame. The data sample consist of approximately 384 million $B\bar{B}$ pairs. The search of rare leptonic decays $B^+\to e^+ \nu_e$ and $B^+\to \mu^+ \nu_\mu$, utilizing the same reconstruction technique, is also discussed and the analysis results are presented. J13.00006: Study of $B \rightarrow (J/\psi\pi\pi)K^{*}$ Brandon Drummond We present a search for $B \rightarrow X(3872)K^{*}$ with $X(3872)\rightarrow J/\psi\pi\pi$ produced in approximately $344~{\rm fb}^{-1}$ of $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilations near $10.6$~GeV. The search was carried out with data recorded by the BaBar experiment operating at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ storage rings at SLAC. [Preview Abstract] |

J13.00007: Measurement of the decays $B \to D_s^{(*)-} K^+ \pi^+$, $D_s^{(*)-} K_S^0 \pi^+$, $D_s^{(*)-} K^+ K^+$ Ada Rubin We report the measurement of the decays $B \to D_s^{(*)-} K^+ \pi^+$, $D_s^{(*)-} K_S^0 \pi^+$, $D_s^{(*)-} K^+ K^+$ using 349~fb$^{-1}$ of data collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance energy by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II $e^+e^-$ collider.
