C2.00001: Lattice QCD and Hadronic Interactions Invited Speaker: I will discuss the recent progress that has been made in using Lattice QCD to compute the interactions between hadrons. C2.00002: Physics at Extreme Temperatures and Energy Densities Invited Speaker: The study of the fundamental theory of strong interactions, QCD, in extreme conditions of temperature and energy density has attracted large experimental and theoretical interest. Experimental and theoretical studies of collective behavior of QCD are being pursued at the accelerators colliding ultra-relativistic heavy nuclei. The last few years have seen many unexpected and exciting results which are revolutionizing our understanding of matter under these conditions. In this talk I will discuss the latest physics from RHIC and the plans for the LHC. [Preview Abstract] |

C2.00003: Recent Highlights in Hadron Structure Invited Speaker: The interior landscape of hadrons includes a strong-force driven sea of quarks, antiquarks and gluons, with a few ever-present valence quarks. This activity then provides the foundation for the spatial extensions of nature's building blocks. Recent highlights have provided concrete information how the elementary quarks and gluons conspire to create the proton's structure and static properties, with unexpected answers and impact.
