NW2.00001: TS AAPT Workshop 5 -- Planck's Constant Regina Barrera, Tom O'Kuma, Stephanie Ingle This workshop is going to use low cost items [to view the spectra of gasses (the happy ones that is) and to view an ejecting photon device (LED)] to determine a very tiny constant that is usually symbolized by ``h'', sometimes known as Planck's constant. Participants will make a class set of the device (8 sets) to take home for their classes. We will be utilizing other tools that you or your students may have to show alternative ways to determine this constant. [Preview Abstract] |
