W4.00001: Plasma and Fusion Activities for your introductory classroom G. Samuel Lightner, T.P. Zaleskiewicz This workshop will introduce you to techniques to stimulate your high school or introductory college students to learn more about plasma and fusion sciences. Participants will explore several activities such as a tabletop ``fusion," emission spectra from a fluorescent light, and the characteristics of a ``plasma globe". Participants will receive a copy of the Fusion: Physics of a Fundamental Energy Source poster and the accompanying Instructors Guide with Activities produced by CPEP. [Preview Abstract] |
