Monodispersity is an important property of microfluidic drops that is achievable by the precise control of microfluidics. By investigating spacing between two consecutive drops during their generation, a transition between dripping and intermediate dripping regimes is clearly identified. Moreover, we developed a theoretical model which accurately predicts our experimental findings. Finally, a new phase diagram offers interesting research opportunities for controlling the size of monodispersed drops.
