The experiment portion of the class was developed by using open educational resources (OER). A new complete lab manual was written, and it will be published as a new OER. Most of the virtual experiments are based on OER simulations and a few are based on OER video analysis tools. Virtual experiments were developed to address fundamental concepts and theories. Also, virtual experiments emphasize data analysis (analytical and graphical) with Microsoft-Excel. These experiments were tested with both synchronous and asynchronous type class formats. Student learning outcomes were analyzed by using the end of the semester exam and evaluating detailed lab reports.
