properties of quantum many-body systems. We demonstrate, how to use the Lanczos method
in conjunction with quantum typicality to extract thermodynamic quantities at arbitrary
temperatures without a full diagonalization of the Hamiltonian. This technique is
applied to compute the thermodynamics of the frustrated spin compound SrCu2(BO3)2, where
recently a pressure-induced quantum phase transition has been observed. Our results
are compared to Quantum Monte Carlo and iPEPS simulations.
