P1.00001: Preparing Students for Private Sector Employment Theodore Hodapp, Liesl Folks, Newton Frateschi, Anthony Johnson, Kathy McCormick, Steve Rolston About half of all PhDs go directly into private-sector employment, and ultimately an even larger fraction will find jobs outside of academe. Yet much of our doctoral training is uninformed by the realities of how to succeed outside this arena.
