PA.00001: Bound states in lattice QCD Invited Speaker: William Detmold I will present an overview of recent lattice QCD calculations of bound two- and higher- baryon systems. Nuclear bound states represent a frontier of contemporary lattice QCD studies and I will focus recent achievements and discuss what is needed to make progress in the field. [Preview Abstract] |

PA.00002: Status of the QCD phase diagram from the Lattice Invited Speaker: Owe Philipsen Lattice QCD suffers from the so-called sign problem, which prohibits straightforward Monte Carlo simulations once there is a non-vanishing chemical potential for baryon density. Several approximate methods have been devised to circumvent this problem, which are valid for chemical potentials smaller than temperature. I review the information obtained by these methods on the QCD phase diagram and discuss recent progress towards larger chemical potentials by means of an effective theory. [Preview Abstract] |

PA.00003: Where does the spin of the proton come from? Invited Speaker: Keh-Fei Liu The progress of lattice calculations toward the study of the quark and glue momenta and angular momenta is reviewed. I will show a complete calculation which includes quark contributions in both the connected and disconnected insertions as well as the contribution from the glue. The partition of the proton spin in terms of the quark spin, the quark orbital angular momentum and the glue angular momentum will be presented. [Preview Abstract] |
