C10.00001: Physical Review Tutorial for Authors: How to write a Great Scientific Paper (12:30pm-1:30pm) Abstract APS Scientists have a responsibility to share the meaning and implications of their work, both within and outside their community, but generally receive little training in writing and communication. They often feel unprepared to communicate with the public, the media, funding agents and even other scientists. In this talk, some thoughts on science communication, focusing on tips for writing a paper for a high impact journal in physics will be presented. The talk will be followed by a panel discussion with Physical Review editors about how the APS can further help with training APS members in these all-important skills. [Preview Abstract] |
