Efficient state-sensitive detection of molecules is required to explore cold molecular interactions. We utilize laser induced fluorescence and resonance enhanced multi photon ionization (REMPI) detection schemes to determine both the internal and external properties of our molecular samples before and after the collisions. The information about initial and final states allows for a more complete interpretation of the collision dynamics.
