U10.00001: Higgs and Standard Model Physics at the LHC Invited Speaker: Si Xie The most recent results for Higgs and Standard Model physics in 7, 8 and 13 TeV proton-proton collisions at the LHC will be reviewed in this talk. Many precision measurements involving the Higgs boson, top quark, vector bosons and jets have been performed by the ATLAS and CMS experiments in a wide range of final states. The measurements presented provide some of the most stringent tests to date of the Standard Model. [Preview Abstract] |

U10.00002: BSM Searches at the LHC Invited Speaker: Michael Hance With the discovery of the Higgs boson by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations in 2012, the Standard Model seems to be completed. Yet, there are reasons to believe that the SM is not the end of the story. From cosmological problems to theoretical issues it seems that there is Physics Beyond the Standard Model (BSM). This talk will summarize the efforts made by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations to discover such new physics. From Exotic and Dark Matter searches to SUSY and BSM Higgs. [Preview Abstract] |

U10.00003: Theory - LHC Phenomenology Invited Speaker: Stefania Gori The discovery of the Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider marks the culmination of a decades-long hunt for the last ingredient of the Standard Model. At the same time, there are still many puzzles in particle physics, foremost the existence of a relatively light Higgs boson, seemingly without any extra weak scale particles that would stabilize the Higgs mass against quantum corrections, and the existence of Dark Matter. This talk will give an overview of the most interesting theories that address these problems and how to test these theories at the LHC. [Preview Abstract] |
