B14.00001: A search for $D^+ \rightarrow \eta^\prime e^+ \nu_e$ Junyan Ge Using a data sample of 281 $pb^{-1}$ at the $\psi(3770)$ resonance collected with the CLEO-c detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring we present the result of a new search for $D^+ \rightarrow \eta^\prime e^+ \nu_e$. B14.00002: Decays of $D$ mesons to final states containing $\eta$ and $\eta^{\prime}$ Shabana Nisar We present new measurements of singly and doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays of $D$ mesons into final states containing $\eta$ and $\eta^{\prime}$ mesons from CLEO-c. The study of these final states provides additional information on SU(3) symmetry breaking and final state interaction effects in $D$ meson decays. [Preview Abstract] |

B14.00003: Absolute $D$ hadronic branching fractions Xin Shi Using 281 pb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collisions recorded at the $\psi(3770)$ resonance with the CLEO-c detector at CESR, we determine absolute hadronic branching fractions of charged and neutral $D$ mesons using a double tag technique. Among measurements for three $D^0$ and six $D^+$ modes, we measure reference branching fractions ${\cal B}(D^0 \to K^- \pi^+)$ and ${\cal B}(D^+ \to K^- \pi^+ \pi^+)$. Using a determination of the integrated luminosity, we also extract the cross sections $\sigma(e^+e^- \to D^0 \bar{D}^0)$ and $\sigma(e^+e^- \to D^+D^-)$. [Preview Abstract] |

B14.00004: Towards a branching fraction and form factor measurement in $D^0 \to K^{*-}e^+\nu_e$ decays Liu Hongxuan Using data from the BaBar experiment, we study form factors in $D^0\to K^{*-}e^+\nu_e$ decays. These form factors, which are Lorentz-invariant functions of $q^2$, have been predicted by several models. We present preliminary results for the parameters $r_2$ and $r_V$ based on roughly 389 fb$^{-1}$ of BaBar data. The high statistics allow us to make a significant improvement over the precision of previous results. [Preview Abstract] |

B14.00005: A Dalitz plot analysis of $D^0 \to K^- K^+ \pi^0$ decays Kalanand Mishra We study the resonant substructure of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^0\rightarrow K^-K^+\pi^0$ by analyzing the Dalitz plot distribution in 232~fb$^{-1}$ data collected by the BaBar experiment at the PEP-II storage rings. We measure the strong phase difference $\delta_D$ and amplitude ratio $r_D$ for the decay processes $D^0\rightarrow K^{*-}K^+$ and $D^0\rightarrow K^{*+}K^-$. [Preview Abstract] |

B14.00006: A search for radiative decays of $D^0$ mesons Joe Regensburger We search for the radiative decays of $D^{0}$ mesons in a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 350~fb$^{-1}$ collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $e^{+} e^{-}$ collider at SLAC. Unlike radiative penguin decays observed in the $B$ sector, radiative decays of charm mesons are expected to occur largely through non-perturbative, long range processes. We will report on our investigation of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^{0} \rightarrow \phi \gamma$ as well as on our search for the previously unobserved Cabibbo-favored decay, $D^{0} \rightarrow \bar{K}^{*0} \gamma$. B14.00007: Search for the Flavor-Changing Neutral Current Decay $D^0 \to \mu^+\mu^-$ Edmund Berry We report on a search for the flavor-changing neutral current decay $D^0 \to \mu^+\mu^-$ in $p\bar p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 1.96$~TeV using 330~pb$^{-1}$ of data collected by the CDF experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. A displaced-track trigger selects long-lived $D^0$ candidates in the $D^0 \to \mu^+\mu^-$ search channel. The kinematically similar decay mode $D^0 \to \pi^+\pi^-$ is used for normalization, and the $D^0 \to K^-\pi^+$ channel is utilized to optimize the selection criteria in an unbiased manner. This analysis is an extension of a previous search using 65~pb$^{-1}$ of data, when a limit was set on the branching fraction ${\cal B}(D^0 \to \mu^+\mu^-) < 2.5 \times 10^{-6}$ at the 90\% Confidence Level. B14.00008: Measurement of the form factors in $D \rightarrow K/\pi e^+ \nu_e$ Bo Xin Using a sample of 1.8 million $D \bar{D}$ mesons collected at the $\psi(3770)$ with the CLEO-c detector, we measure absolute branching fractions as a function of $q^2$, the invariant mass of the $e^+ \nu_e$ pair, for $D^0 \rightarrow K^- e^+ \nu_e$, $D^0 \rightarrow \pi^- e^+ \nu_e$, $D^+\rightarrow K_S^0 e^+ \nu_e $ and $D^+ \rightarrow \pi^0 e^+ \nu_e$. We measure the absolute magnitudes of the form factors $f^+_{K}(0)$ and $f^+_{\pi}(0)$. Using unquenched Lattice QCD calculations of the form factor magnitudes we extract the CKM matrix elements $V_{cs}$ and $V_{cd}$. [Preview Abstract] |
