B12.00001: Measurement of branching fractions of $B$-meson decays to final states containing an $\eta^\prime$ and a vector meson Alan Robertson We present branching fraction results for charged and neutral $B$ decay modes to charmless, quasi-two body, final states containing $\eta^\prime K^*$ and $\eta^\prime \rho$. The results are compared to theoretical predictions and provide information on the suppressed magnitude of $\eta^\prime K^*$ with respect to enhanced $\eta^\prime K^*$ decay channel. The results are derived using a multivariate maximum likelihood fit using data recorded by the BaBar detector, which comprise an integrated luminosity of $210.5~{\rm fb}^{-1}$ corresponding to 232 million $B\bar {B}$ pairs. B12.00002: $\Upsilon(1S) \to \eta^\prime + X $ decays Koloina Randrianarivony We present an improved measurement of the $\eta ^\prime$ spectra in $\Upsilon(1S)$ decays, performed using 1.2 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of data taken at the $\Upsilon(1S)$ center-of-mass energy with the CLEO-III detector at CESR. The improved measurement of the end point of the $\eta ^\prime$ spectrum from the $\Upsilon(1S) \to ggg$ decay will allow a more precise parametrization of the $\eta^\prime$ vertex function and will have implications for our understanding of the inclusive $B \to \eta ^{\prime} X_s$ decay. B12.00003: Searches for radiative $B$ meson decays to $\eta(')K\gamma$ Alfio Lazzaro We present preliminary results of a search of radiative $B$ meson decays to $\eta(') K \gamma$. The data set consists of approximately 232 million $B\bar{B}$ pairs produced in electron-positron annihilations at the PEP II collider and recorded by the BaBar detector. [Preview Abstract] |

B12.00004: Search for $B^0$ meson decay to $\eta^\prime \eta^\prime K^0_S$ Riccardo Pellegrini We present preliminary results of a search for $B^0$ meson decay to $\eta^\prime \eta^\prime K^0_S$. The data set consists of approximately 232 million $B\overline{B}$ pairs produced in electron- positron annihilation at the PEP-II collider and recorded by the BaBar detector. [Preview Abstract] |

B12.00005: Ratios of Branching Fractions for Hadronic $b$ Meson Decays Boris Iyutin The addition of the displaced track trigger at the second trigger level has enabled CDF in Run II to study purely hadronic $b$ hadron decays. We present ratio of branching fractions for $B^0\to D^-\pi^+(\pi^+\pi^-)$, $B_s\to D_s^-\pi^+(\pi^+\pi^-)$ and $B^0\to D_s^+ D^-$, $B_s \to D_s^+ D_s^-$. The latter provides a good handle to estimate $\Delta\Gamma/\Gamma$ [Preview Abstract] |

B12.00006: Study of $CP$ violation in mixing with partially reconstructed $D^{*-} \ell^+ \nu$ events Elisa Manoni We present a simultaneous measurement of the neutral $B$-meson lifetime difference $\Delta \Gamma$ and of the parameter $|q/p|$, relative to the $CP$ violation in $B$ mixing, using $D^{*-} \ell^+ \nu$ events. The semileptonic final state is partially reconstructed, i.e. only the slow pion from $D^{*-}$ decay and the lepton are used. The flavour of the other $B$ is determined by means of lepton tagging. The measurement is performed using a fit to the proper time difference distribution of the two mesons on a sample of 240 million $\Upsilon(4S) \rightarrow B\bar{B}$ events, collected by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $B$ factory. B12.00007: Study of the $B^{\pm} \rightarrow { (K \pi \pi^{0} )}_{ D^{0} / \overline{D^{0}}} K^{\pm}$ through the ADS method Viola Sordini We report on our study of $B^{\pm}$ mesons decaying into the final states $K^{+} \pi^{-}\pi^{0}K^{\pm}$ and $K^{-} \pi^{+}\pi^{0}K^{\pm} $, where $K\pi\pi^{0}$ come from a $D^{0}$ or $\overline{D^{0}}$ meson, using $205~{\rm fb}^{-1}$ of data collected by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ $B$ Factory at SLAC. We aim to measure the ratio $R_{ADS}= \frac{\mathcal{BR}(B^{+}\rightarrow K^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^ {0} K^{+}) + \mathcal{BR}(B^{-}\rightarrow K^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{0} K^{-})} { \mathcal{BR}(B^{+}\rightarrow K^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{0} K^{+}) + \mathcal{BR}(B^{-}\rightarrow K^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^{0} K^{-}) }$, from which we can extract information on the parameter $r_ {B}=\frac{A(B^{+}\rightarrow D^{0}K^{+})}{A(B^{+}\rightarrow \overline{D^{0}}K^{+})}$. Since $r_{B}$ is the ratio between a $V_{ub}$ and the $V_{cb}$ decay amplitude, it's knowledge corresponds to a constraint on $\rho$--$\eta$ plane in the $\gamma$ sector. [Preview Abstract] |
