H1.00001: Electroweak physics at D{\O} Invited Speaker: Recent results and future prospects of electroweak measurements with the D\O\ detector from Run II of the Tevatron collider are presented, including inclusive $W$ and $Z$ boson production and the production of electroweak boson pairs. [Preview Abstract] |
Sunday, April 17, 2005 9:06AM - 9:42AM |
H1.00002: Electroweak Physics at CDF Invited Speaker: The CDF experiment at Fermilab studies the highest energy man-made particle collisions. Two TeV proton-antiproton collisions produce huge samples of $W$ and $Z$ bosons. CDF has measured the production cross-section for single $W$ and $Z$ bosons as well as electroweak boson pairs such as $W \gamma$, $Z \gamma$. We are working towards an improved measurement of the $W$ boson mass. I will report on all of these measurements as well as give prospects for the remainder of the Tevatron running at Fermilab. H1.00003: Recent QCD Results From the Tevatron Invited Speaker: We report on recent QCD results in $p\bar{p}$ collisions at sqrt(s) = 1.96 {\rm TeV} using data collected by the D\O\ experiment during 2002-2004 at the Fermilab Tevatron. Results on jet physics, direct photon production, and inclusive b jet cross sections will be presented. [Preview Abstract] |
