C7.00001: Search for the associated production of charginos and neutralinos in trilepton final states involving $\tau$ leptons with the D\O\ detector Ingo Torchiani Final states containing tau leptons are of particular interest in supersymmetric theories with large $\tan \beta$. The existing D\O\ searches for the associated production of charginos and neutralinos in $p\bar{p}$ collisions in the trilepton topology have been extended to include final states containing at least one tau lepton decaying hadronically. The search uses data recorded by the D\O\ detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. The results of this analysis, based on an integrated luminosity of $\sim 350$\,pb$^{-1}$, are used to place new limits on the production cross section of charginos and neutralinos. C7.00002: Search for Associated Chargino-Neutralino Production in Final States with Two Electrons and an additional Lepton Martin Griffiths We present a search for chargino-neutralino production based on approximately 300 pb$^{-1}$ of Tevatron Run II data collected in proton anti-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = $1.96$ TeV with the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF). We perform a blind analysis and we check our predictions of the Standard Model backgrounds in control regions before analyzing the signal region. The results presented here are obtained in events where we firstly identify two electrons and then select an additional electron or muon as a third lepton. The data are used to constrain the SUSY parameter space. [Preview Abstract] |

C7.00004: Search for SUSY at Tevatron Run II from Chargino-Neutralino Production in Low $P_t$ Di-muon Channel Vladimir Rekovic, Michael Gold, John Strologas The Minimal Supersymetric Standard Model (MSSM) predicts the production of tri-lepton events at the Tevatron via chargino-neutralino production. We will present our sensitivity for discovering this production using low $p_t$ di-muon data. We use a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 270 pb$^{-1}$ taken by the CDF-II detector during Run II of the Tevatron, which is more than twice the data collected in Run I of Tevatron. C7.00005: Search for SUSY at Tevatron Run II from Chargino-Neutralino Production in Low Pt Di-electron Channel Sourabh Dube, John Zhou, Sunil Somalwar We present a search for associated Chargino-Neutralino production, decaying into three leptons, with approximately 300 pb$^{-1}$ of $p\bar{p}$ collision data at $\sqrt{s}=1.96$ TeV, collected with the CDF Run2 detector. The search is performed in the framework of mSUGRA. Two of the three leptons in the final state must be electrons. Major backgrounds are identified and calculated. C7.00006: Search for Squark and Gluino Production in Multi-jets plus Missing $E_t$ Final States at Tevatron Xavier Portell, Dan MacQueen We present preliminary results on the search for squarks and gluinos in proton-antiproton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 1.96$~TeV at Tevatron, based on about 400 pb$^{-1}$ of data collected by the CDF experiment in Run II. Events with multiple jets of hadrons and large missing transverse energy in the final state are studied within the framework of minimal supergravity and assuming R-parity conservation. The measurements are compared to Standard Model predictions and new extended limits on the gluino and squark masses are extracted. [Preview Abstract] |

C7.00007: $N=1$ $Sp(N_c)$ Supersymmetric Gauge Theories with Many Flavors Mohammad Edalati, Philip C. Argyres Using the Konishi anomaly, we compute the effective superpotentials of $N=1$ $Sp(N_c)$ supersymmetric gauge theories with large number of flavors in the fundamental representation of the gauge group. A novel feature is that for $N_f > N_c+2$, these superpotentials must be regularized in order to have smooth extrema. We show, however, that the resulting manifold of extrema is independent of the choice of regularization and correctly describes the moduli space of vacua. We also show that these superpotentials can be used to compute certain higher derivative global F-terms at tree level which were previously analyzed as instanton effects. [Preview Abstract] |
